How to Make the Most of Your Wedding Day

Wedding Day

Yes it’s a cliché, but your wedding day is one of those real landmark occasions in your life. Whether you have a grand event surrounded by friends and family, or just you and your partner go somewhere and get married in a more private affair, you will want to make the most of it. It is obviously not a day just for yourself and making sure that your bride or groom really enjoys their day is sure to be key to your intentions. There are so many things that you can do to make the day go as well as possible and, to be honest, this article could go on and on so I have picked out a few key pointers to help it go well.

Write Lists & Set Reminders

Getting married can be incredibly stressful. There are so many things to plan beforehand that it can be quite overwhelming. Obviously you won’t be doing all of these things yourself but deciding what you want and what needs doing is probably going to come down to you. Being organised is crucial and the preparation work that goes into the weeks and months before your wedding day will determine how stressful it will become. Do yourself a favour, write out lists and set yourself reminders. You can’t expect to remember everything so you really need to do this or people will fall out and things will get forgotten or rushed.

Hire a Wedding Coordinator

You can make the prep work even easier by hiring a wedding coordinator. Having someone who can release you of a great many pressures and responsibilities will give you the time to focus on the things you want to do most. It’s understandable that not everyone will have the means to finance this but if you can it is highly advisable. Failing that ask your friends and family if they can help and delegate some jobs out to them.

Stop and Actually Take It All In

Many people remember so little of their wedding day that the occasion becomes little more than a blur. You will be so busy and you will be passed around between friends and family, will have to do many things and the day itself can become stressful in itself. But don’t let it! You are supposed to be enjoying the day. If you’ve done all the relevant prep work then you really ought to slow down on the day and be a little bit selfish. Take moments of just enjoying yourself and try to take it all in. You don’t get married every day.

Surprise Your Partner Somehow

Go above and beyond for this day. Try to put a smile on your partner’s face by surprising them with something special. Maybe you could get in touch with your partners friend they haven’t seen in years and secretly invite them.  If you are feeling anxious about having to dance, you could try dancing lessons for your wedding day. Not only will it relieve your nerves but if you keep it a secret the delight in your partners face when you come to dance will be fantastic. Whatever it is you can decide but try to think of what will make them happy and keep it to yourself until the right moment.
